Today is my last day at GREP. I can't believe it is here already; this summer literally flew by. I have had two really great internships this summer and I am so grateful for the opportunities I was given. I know that my experiences will help me in the future whether its with the connections I've made or using the skills I've learned!

I still did a lot on my last day though! They are moving things around in the office and asked me to help. I moved a lot of files and things in their supply closet so it is more organized; a true intern task!! Now I am just helping them with whatever extra things they need to get done and soon the day will be over. So bittersweet to see the end of these internships! :( two weeks left and then I will be starting classes again. Can't believe it!

All the files I moved around!

P.S. Two of the ladies in the office also took me to lunch again! We went to the Peanut Bar and I got a delicious crab cake sandwich. So nice of them! :)

Today for lunch the staff at GREP took me to Judy's on Cherry for lunch for the last day of my internship.  (I still have one more week but my actual supervisor will be on vaca next week.) It was delicious. I got the special of the day which was a mac and cheese type of dish but, of course, gourmet style. So yummy.

Then they got me a present! How nice of them?? They gave me a card which they all signed and then got me these pretty earrings and a Bella Jules gift card!!! I can't wait to use it, and I will definitely blog about whatever I get!! Today was a little slow I must admit! There was not much to do in the office. My internship supervisor actually told me I've been completing projects too fast! She had nothing to give me today. It's kind of a catch 22 because it's good that I work quickly but it also leaves me searching to find something to do. I'm sure they will find more projects for me soon though!

The view from my desk!
Today I :

1. Worked on newsletter articles for GREP's         Quarterly newsletter
2. Updated the GREP blog
3. Created emails in constant contact for             the GREP annual investor BBQ
4. Sent out a press release about the new             shops at Wyomissing Square through         vocus.com

Today I interned at Greater Reading Economic Partnership and shortly after I got to the office I was invited to help out with their podcasts! We met our guests at the Crowne Plaza where we did the recording. Toni Reece, who is a personal and business development Coach, is the woman who set up the audio and actually recorded our interview. I helped host two interviews in which I got to ask each person three questions. It was fun, easy, and really quick! While we were there we had a little bit of time to spare so Deb also interviewed me! We talked about what kind of projects I do for GREP and then Deb explained the internship program a bit more in depth. It was fun, and I was really intrigued by what Toni Reece does. There are so many great resources for businesses and business people in Reading, PA that many people don't even know about. As I learn more and meet more people I am also learning so much more about Berks County. I've lived here my whole life and barely knew anything about it!

These are NOT any of the people we worked with today but this is the office space we were in and those are the microphones we used! It's a great space to get what you need for a podcast without going to a recording studio or anything.

I got this picture from The People Academy's website.
