My Favorite Present I GAVE

The thing I love most about Christmas is finding the absolute perfect present for each of my friends and family members. This year, my family and I said we weren't going to exchange gifts. All of my sisters and I are going to spend a day together getting mani/pedis instead. So, although we said no gifts, I still wanted to get my mom something special.

This was my outfit for Christmas dinner. A polished sweater and sparkly jewelry is my favorite combination for winter because you can look grown up and professional while still showing off your favorite blingy jewelry. The necklace I'm wearing in this photo is from target. I also wore rings and bracelets to add even more sparkle to the outfit. I love an outfit that I can wear as much jewelry as I feel like. A plain, neutral sweater is the perfect canvas to adorn with as many jewels as you please! The rest of my outfit was skinny jeans and my new ugg boots :)

Here is what I got for Christmas this year. I really wanted a new pair of Ugg boots since they are perfect for walking around campus or anywhere during winter. The boots were my main present and then I got a few other smaller ones. I also bought a few things for myself for Christmas and also to reward myself after a semester of hard work! ;)

I haven't posted on my blog in what feels like forever! But I am a senior in college and needed to focus a bit more on my classes so my blog had to come second :(
However, I am very proud of myself and what I accomplished this semester:
School is so important to me and I am so happy with what I've done throughout my (almost) four years at Alvernia University. I cannot believe that next semester will be my last but I'm so excited to see what will come after it!

Another reason why I didn't post sooner was CHRISTMAS! My house was crazy busy this year; with both sides of our family coming to our house for Christmas dinner.
I have also been catching up with friends who are home for winter break and doing all kinds of fun stuff such as ugly sweater parties! ;)
PLUS, all my sisters and I have been home together for the first time in a long time so we have been hanging out together non-stop. I love it!

I am going to share more about what I have been up to and what will be happening for me when I get some time to take some pictures :)

xoxo

First off, I know it looks like all I do is shop when you look at my blog, but I am a normal girl looking for bargains just like anybody else! I don't usually shop this often, I think it is the back-to-school craze. When I went to Bella Jules I had a gift card, and my friend convinced me to go to the outlets yesterday. I will admit, I have a slight shopping addiction that usually won't let me turn down any kind of shopping trip, but I really do my best to try to save my money, I swear!

Forever 21 is one of those stores I cringe at when I am about to enter, only because I know I am going to spend a lot of time and money there no matter what. I love the clothes and the prices; it's like heaven! But since Forever 21 has such good prices I end up spending  more there because I use the awesome price/deal to justify buying each item. Yesterday wasn't too bad, though. I spent around $45 and I want to share what I spent it on!

I wanted to share this piece of advice that Lauren Conrad shared on her blog today because I truly believe in it. There are so many things in life that you have to get through in your own way. Comparing your life to others' lives really is the worst thing you can do for your self esteem. Everyone has their own personal goals and dreams and how they go about achieving them depends on their personality and previous experiences in life. I completely agree with all of LC's "Ten Things They Don’t Teach You in School"

Today I have been hard at work! My main project that actually began over the weekend was cleaning out my closet. I've gotten rid of so many things I didn't even realize I still had, plus I have a big bag of clothes I am going to donate to Goodwill! I love to do this every so often to make some space in my room and clean everything up. It feels like a fresh start for the school year.

I also began getting stuff ready for my classes since I start working at school on Wednesday. I am a peer mentor to a class of freshman who have to take a First Year Seminar course. We meet our class on the first day and then hang out with them all throughout their orientation weekend. Once the semester begins peer mentors sit in on the FYS classes and help the freshmen with anything they might need or want to talk about to help to make their first year at Alvernia a bit easier. I have a busy year ahead of me but it is my last and I hope to make the best of it!

This is the first year my family ever rented out kayaks and paddle boards and it was awesome! Throughout the whole week I have seen so many people doing both of these activities where we are staying and it looked like so much fun so I convinced my family to try it. We liked paddle boarding a little bit better than kayaking but we had just as much fun doing both!

Yesterday my family and I went to Rehoboth to shop. I bought myself one book - my family always has to check out the bookstores - but the coolest thing I got was when my sisters and I all got henna tattoos! I thought about getting a real tattoo for my birthday but I didn't know what or where I wanted it. So it's cool to get a henna and try it out!

PictureI love the pink bow! It's definitely my style :)
Today it seemed too cold for the beach this morning, so we went to shop again in the little shopping area in Lewes. I bought several things but my favorite is my new sun hat! I've wanted one for a while but never found one I really liked.
